Brooklyn’s Shorty Roc has released a new single and video for the track “Wha’d U Like (Lavish Life)”. It’s from his forthcoming album, “Live.Love.Swagg”. 2010 Out Music Award Nominees Announced - OHH Artists Among Them
Out Hip Hop artists were featured in several key categories, primarily the rap category (we will have the nominees listed below) but perhaps the biggest achievement for out hip hop was the nomination of out Lesbian mc Melange Lavonne in the categories of Outstanding OUT Musician of the Year and Outstanding Music Video of the Year.

Set to premiere his new web-series, Shorty Roc joined Dj SirRah on OUTing The Music Industry to discuss all things concerning the NY rapper. After 8yrs in the OHH game, Shorty Roc had a lot of great advice to give from the different learning experiences that he has gone through. While it’s uncertain everyone will agree with the title, Shorty Roc was the subject of an in-depth profile on NewYorkWorld.com called “Shorty Roc - NYC’s Gay Hip Hop Legend”. Joseph Pulitzer’s New York newspaperThe World, which ran from 1860 to 1931, inspires the spirit of The New York World. The contributing writers and managing editors of this website are graduate students at the Columbia University School of Journalism, also founded by Pulitzer, and home to the prizes that carry his name. Shorty Roc Produced All Star Track for the Streets features Last O, Kaoz, Bone Intell and more
In what may be the first all star collaboration of the year, Infinite, Last Offence, Sonny “Loubang” Lewis, King Jabbar, Kaoz, Shorty Roc, Bone Intell and Swanny River have come together in a Shorty Roc produced track “for the streets”. This track will appear on a future Shorty Roc release as well as Swanny River’s upcoming release “When The Beat Drops”. You can see the promo video below and download the track in Free Downloads.
